Events Intern

The Nebraska Ethanol Board is seeking an events intern to support the ongoing promotional efforts of the board. The student will work directly with the public information officer, program manager and marketing manager at public events. No office time is required – student attends events and provides staffing support. Student must be reliable and arrive on-time.

Stipend: $1,000

Responsibilities:

  • Work as event staff
  • Assist in setting up of promotional events
  • Help promote events and the American Ethanol brand through social media

Tentative Summer Events:

  • May 13: Speedee Mart Flex Fuel Grand Opening (Norfolk)
  • May 19: Kum & Go Fuel Promotion (Gretna)
  • June 8: Pump & Pantry Promotion & Saltdogs Baseball (Lincoln)
  • June 22: Charolais Junior National Cattle Show (Grand Island)
  • June 23: Formula SAE International Competition (Lincoln)
  • July 19: Storm Chasers Baseball Ag Night (Omaha)
  • July TBD: E85 Promotion (Omaha)
  • Summer TBD: Statewide Flex Fuel Pump Openings
  • August/September: State Fair (Grand Island)

Requirements:

  • Current undergraduate student at Lincoln college or university
  • Outgoing, social personality – unafraid to talk with public about renewable fuels
    • Educational packet will be provided on ethanol information
  • Ability to work/attend at least 6 events throughout the summer
  • Reliable means of transportation to get to events (carpooling will be available for many events)
