The success of the Nebraska Ethanol Board is thanks to our passionate board members, staff and partner organizations. Established in 1971, early leaders laid a solid foundation by identifying Nebraska as a golden triangle of opportunity. With easy access to rail, an abundant supply of field corn, and solid markets for a variety livestock, ethanol facilities began to pop up around the state in the late 1970s.
Over the decades, board members and staff built relationships with producers, farmers, politicians, and industry partners, keeping Nebraska at the forefront of America's growing ethanol industry. Today, we are proud to say our state is one of the largest producers of ethanol in the country.
