As advocates for ethanol retailers, we understand the importance of financial support in navigating the dynamic energy landscape. We are dedicated to providing resources to fuel retailers, empowering them to grow their businesses and contribute to the broader success of the ethanol industry.
State and federal governments enact laws and provide incentives to help build and maintain a market for ethanol fuel and vehicles. The use of ethanol is required by the federal Renewable Fuel Standard. View federal and state ethanol laws and incentives here and on the right side of this page.
Driving Success: Ethanol in Numbers
E10 (10% ethanol, 90% gasoline) is available at nearly every fueling station. There are more than 4,200 public stations in 44 states offering E85 (or flex fuel)—a gasoline-ethanol blend containing 51% to 83% ethanol, depending on geography and season. As of 2022, E15 was sold at more than 2,500 stations in 31 states. Some stations offer multiple ethanol blends at one location, often through blender pumps.
